Known as the 'Roof of Africa', Ethiopia has a unique and ancient landscape of broad highlands and sweeping rift valleys that host an exceptional concentration of endemic wildlife. Home to over 40 endemic and near‑endemic bird species, as well as iconic mammals, Ethiopia offers some of the most distinctive birding and mammal watching in Africa. Yet, despite this remarkable richness and the country’s dramatic scenery, relatively few visitors have experienced Ethiopia’s unique combination of sought-after endemic birds and mammals.

Below we present a small selection of the fantastic photographs taken by participant Tim Young on our tour in November. To view the images larger, please click on the crosshairs in the centre of each image.
