Summary
Based for two nights at the delightful Dairy Barns Guesthouse in the heart of the Norfolk Broads, this new tour follows on from our popular ‘Autumn in the Broads’ and ‘Winter in the Broads’ short breaks. Led by an expert naturalist, we will enjoy the very best of east Norfolk’s spring birding highlights from breeding Marsh Harriers quartering reedbeds full of chattering Reed Warblers, to flocks of seaduck, terns, skuas and other waterbirds tracking north along the region’s dune-edged coastline. A variety of migrant waders – most resplendent in their breeding dress – warblers, chats and other birds will be passing through too and, of course, we will not ignore the county’s many exciting residents, in particular the Common Cranes, one of Norfolk Broads’ most iconic birds. For those with a keen interest in mammals we also hope to see Grey Seals, Hares and the introduced Chinese Water Deer.
- Explore the Norfolk Broads & adjacent coastline
- Common Crane, Bearded Tit, Bittern & Great Egret all possible
- Look for a variety of migrant waders, chats, warblers & seabirds
