Writing Competition 2022 – Results!

We had a wonderful response to our 2022 Writing Competition, and many thanks to everyone who entered! Having rolled over entries from both our 2020 and 2021 competitions we had a broad selection of pieces submitted, describing mouth-watering wildlife holidays from all over the world. We are delighted to announce the winners of our 2022 competition as follows:

First prize:
Becky Dine 'Wild Cambodia: Beyond Ankor Wat'. Becky wins a Naturetrek holiday in Europe up to the value of £1,500 OR a £1,000 Naturetrek Voucher.

Our thoughts: Becky's light-hearted and descriptive piece of writing immersed us into the sights and sounds of Cambodia's forests, villages and rice paddies, bringing to life their varied habitats and inhabitants, with notes of culture weaved into the captivating narrative.

Second prize: Jane Lawson ‘Beginners Botany in Sussex'. Jane wins a £500 Naturetrek Voucher.

Our thoughts: Jane's charming appreciation of Sussex's wild flowers and countryside was a joy to read - in a world where long-haul travel is so accessible, it can be easy to overlook the gems on our own doorstep, which Jane describes beautifully!

Third prize: David Tipping ‘In Search of the Pasha’. David wins a £250 Naturetrek Voucher.

Our thoughts: David's drive and passion for his target species shone through in this piece, making it a joy to read. We were delighted he achieved his ambition of seeing the beautiful Two-tailed Pasha with us!

Congratulations to all our prize winners and many thanks to everyone who entered.
