Ramon is a field guide author and certified wildlife guide based in Bogota, Colombia with a degree in Zootechnics from the National University of Colombia, specialising in Environmental Management. With over a decade of experience in wildlife monitoring, he has worked as an ornithologist on research projects with the National University and several environmental consulting firms.

Ramon coordinated the Medellín Bird Festival, has taught ornithology-related courses and recently served as a local research assistant on multiple projects with the Alexander von Humboldt Institute for Biological Research. He is also the co-author of the Birds of Envigado and Birds of Antioquia field guides and has been invited to numerous events and festivals as an expert speaker.
