Bayanmunkh, known as Bina, has loved wildlife for as long as he can remember. He grew up in the Margaz Mountains as part of a nomadic family surrounded by Mongolia’s wild and beautiful landscapes. From an early age, he was drawn to the animals around him, and his passion only grew stronger over time. Bina's curiosity about nature led him to become a biologist before going on to earn a Masters degree in ornithology (yes, he’s a total bird nerd, but in the best way!). For over ten years, Bina has led birdwatching and wildlife tours across Mongolia. During this time, he’s developed a special connection with Mongolia’s rare wild cats, especially Snow Leopards and Pallas’s Cats. Finding these elusive animals takes skill and patience, and he’s become one of the best in the country at it.

Bina is not just a guide; he’s a passionate conservationist. He has started several long-term projects to protect wildlife and their habitats. One of his biggest efforts is the Margaz Conservation Center, based in his home region. The project focuses on helping local herders live peacefully alongside Snow Leopards by offering new opportunities through eco-tourism. Whether he's guiding travellers through remote mountain trails or working with local communities to protect nature, Bina brings knowledge, heart, and a deep respect for the land he calls home.
