Adrian Langdon

Adrian has had a lifelong interest in nature having been born and bred in Cornwall, living adjacent to woodland and his beloved Camel estuary. His illustrated talks of Cornish wildlife and landscapes are often dominated by images taken along the River Camel from its source on Bodmin Moor to the rugged Atlantic coast.

A career in communications in the county took him to many off-road Cornish locations often with wildlife viewing opportunities at the end!

Adrian studied Natural History with the University of Exeter and also gained an Associateship in Nature photography with the Royal Photographic Society.

He chairs the Photographic Group at the Cornwall Wildlife Trust and is also an international judge for Natural History salons & exhibitions.

Adrian has been the voluntary warden at Walmsley bird sanctuary for the Cornwall Birds’ for many years and has overseen its expansion to take in more wetland within the Amble marshes ecosystem.

He has led trips with groups of photography friends to many European destinations and has also travelled both in India, Africa & North America looking for wildlife photographic opportunities.

He has spent many weeks with his family touring the National Parks of the USA & Canada. The Yellowstone & Grand Teton reserves have become firm favourites but photographing coastal Grizzlies in Alaska has now taken over top spot!

Recent Naturetrek tours have seen him lead in his native Cornwall and on the Isles of Scilly and usually feature boats, cetaceans & seabirds!
