Darcie Sowik – Operations Assistant

Darcie joined Naturetrek in June 2025 originally as part of the busy Flights team before moving into her current role in Operations. She now helps coordinate a range of tours and supports clients at every stage of their journey. Her role involves liaising with leaders, ground agents, and accommodation providers, as well as assisting customers with queries, extensions, and logistics. She particularly enjoys pulling together the final touches of each trip, making sure that every detail is in place before departure to ensure our Naturetrek clients enjoy the most memorable wildlife holiday possible.

Life Before Naturetrek

Coming from a family of pilots, Darcie grew up with a strong sense of adventure and a love of travel. Before university, she gained her diving qualification, sparking a fascination with marine life and the natural world. She then spent a ski season in Switzerland, achieving her ski instructor qualification and relishing the chance to live and work in the mountains. She has grown up spending her time kayaking and sailing, particularly along the West Coast and across Europe with family, deepening her appreciation of wildlife and landscapes. Outside of work, her happiest place is on the water, in the mountains or walking with her dogs in the countryside. She is delighted to bring her passion for wildlife, travel, and the outdoors into her role at Naturetrek.
