Summary
On this exciting and unique British break we not only aim to showcase the special wildlife that can be seen on the Suffolk Heritage Coast by day, but will also venture out after dark to enjoy its nocturnal wildlife too!
Based at the historic Bawdsey Hall for four nights – which sits on the peninsula between the River Deben and the North Sea – we will have access to two unique hides from which we hope to see an exciting range of nocturnal mammals and birds including Badger, Muntjac, Tawny Owl, Fox and possibly even the elusive Polecat which visits regularly!
Featuring on the recent BBC Winterwatch series, the area around the hide is lit with low-powered lighting allowing superb photographic opportunities for those with a camera. By day we will explore the varied habitats surrounding Bawdsey Hall including wetlands, heathlands, dune systems and saltmarshes, home to wildlife ranging from Stone Curlews and Dartford Warblers to Bitterns and Barn Owls.
