Summary
As the heat of the high summer slowly morphs into pleasant, sunny autumn days, Greece’s Pelion Peninsula becomes alive with colour, and our focus for this week-long holiday will be exploring the colours, trails and scenery through the medium of nature journalling. Based at the charming Lagou Raxi Country Hotel in South Pelion, under the guidance and tutorage of naturalist and nature journalist Melinda Nakagawa, we will enjoy gentle morning excursions each day, before our afternoon classes in the hotel’s purpose-built workroom. Whether you are a total beginner looking for your first foray into nature journalling, or a seasoned artist on the search for new subject matter, this week, which will be spent in a stunning part of Greece, at a comfortable, friendly hotel, is sure to delight.
- Practise the medium of nature journalling under the expert guidance of Melinda Nakagawa
- Gentle morning excursions using the ‘kalderimi’ (mule paths)
- Explore the Aegean coast, local villages and olive groves searching for different subjects
- Afternoon sessions in the hotel’s purpose-built workroom
- Day trip to Tsagarada, locally famed for its 1,000-year-old plane tree

Breakfasts and dinners are included in the tour cost. Please allow approximately 25 euros daily for lunch.
