Dan Rouse

Dan is an ornithologist and author from Wales, now residing in Durham. Having had a love for birds from a young age, she has gone on to be widely respected in the birding community, often seen at a ‘twitch’ when rarities show up, or wandering around the coastline looking for migrant birds and cetaceans. Dan has published several books on birds and other wildlife and regularly gives talks at science festivals. Currently, she works as a wildlife guide, mostly leading tours focussing on birds, marine mammals and orchids (species she will happily talk about for hours!). She also currently works as an ornithologist and Ornithological Consultant for various ecology companies around the UK, primarily focused on monitoring and surveying birds.
