Tom Proença

Tom Proenca

Tom Proença is one of the most promising "home-grown" naturalist guides working with serious nature travellers in the Pantanal. Born in 1992 in the gateway town of the north Pantanal, Poconé, Tom has worked full-time since 2011 as a naturalist guide for several of the leading lodges along the famous Transpantaneira road in north Pantanal and we are very happy to have him as a Naturetrek leader. Tom has an easy-going personality that contrasts with his serious interest in all wildlife of the Pantanal. With his deep knowledge of the birds and mammals of the Pantanal, groups have found Tom to be an ideal guide for exploring the rich nature of the number one wildlife destination of the Americas.
