Marcos Felix

Born in 1978 in the town of Diamantino on the southern edge of the Amazon rainforest of Mato Grosso State, Brazil, Marcos Felix initially studied agriculture, but in 2002 he switched to his true calling and became a full-time naturalist. He has worked as a guide for the last 10 years and has spent an impressive 2000+ days guiding in the Pantanal ... so far! One of our most outstanding Jaguar guides, Marcos recently assisted a BBC crew which came to the Jaguar 'Flotel' (where we stay on our 'Brazil - Just Jaguars!' holiday) to film Jaguars and Giant Otters for a new BBC series on the wildlife of Brazil. Marcos taught himself English; few guides are as driven, delightful and experienced, so we're delighted that he will be guiding our 2013 Just Jaguar! groups.
