Wildlife holidays in Thailand
Tell me about Thailand …
The Kingdom of Thailand boasts a rapidly developing economy which has created huge changes to the way of life in this charming Buddhist country.
It is an independent country lying in the heart of South-east Asia with a tropical climate characterised by monsoons. The north of the country is mountainous, while the centre is mainly flat.
Theravada Buddhism is the national religion, and this is practiced by more than 94% of its population.
Our Thailand specialist recommends...
"I recommend our ‘Thailand’ 10-day birding tour, enjoying one of Thailand’s finest national parks, and the montane forests surrounding Chiang Mai. You can also extend the tour giving great opportunities to see the critically endangered Spoon-billed Sandpiper."

Whats special about the wildlife?
Thailands bird life is particularly interesting. In the north there are forested mountain ranges which are a southern spur of the mighty Himalaya and this region is the principal focus of the Naturetrek bird watching tour.

WHAT YOU'VE BEEN SAYING ABOUT OUR Thailand HOLIDAYS
The planning & organisation of this trip by the local staff was exemplary. They were friendly, helpful, and a joy to be with.
The ground agents were superb, the meeting at the aiport, all transport and transfers went smoothly. The provision of a second minibus following us around to have drinks, snacks, lunches etc was very well organised and really helped the tour run smoothly.
This was my first trip with Naturetrek, and I felt it was very good value for money. The organization was impressive, with no problems with travel arrangements. The quality of the hotels, food, minibuses and drivers was very high, and despite the fairly exhausting schedule, I thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of the trip. The birdwatching was outstanding, with 260+ species seen, including the pre-tour extension. Kamol and his wife, Patcharee, were delightful people to spend a week with - nothing was too much trouble for them. Kamols extensive knowledge and experience of the birds, mammals and locations we visited were outstanding. There is no doubt that we could not have had anyone more qualified to be our leader in Thailand. He is exceptionally talented and was conscientious in helping us to see the birds and understand their features and behaviour.
