The whole holiday was an amazing experience - the boat, crew, food and Chas with his wealth of knowledge to share with us. If you told anyone that the hour-long 'lectures' each evening were sensational and left us wanting more information, they probably wouldn't believe you! The sight of a mother blue whale coming alongside the boat, looking like a submarine hull it was so huge, and then realising that it had a calf beside it was overwhelming - not something you expect to see in real life!
Although it is hyperbole to say so, this has been the best holiday ever. We were blessed with a huge amount of sunshine which enabled us to see almost every species on the Naturetrek list. The fellow travellers were equally keen and of great company. Led by a most knowledgeable Malcolm Scott whose enthusiasm is infectious and whose dancing has to be witnessed! The only downsides were only 3 polar bears and that we must rejoin the civilised world. But thank you Naturetrek for another excellent holiday.
Nick and Sujan had got remarkable eyesight for spotting birds! They were both very knowledgeable and looked after everybody very well, as well as taking our teasing and banter with grace! I would recommend them to everybody.
