Solomon Islands cruise: 2 cabins left!

Pantropical Spotted Dolphins

Pantropical Spotted Dolphins

Ahead of our inaugural cruise around the Solomon Islands, last November Naturetrek tour leader Chas Anderson enjoyed his first visit to these far flung, exotic islands, brimming with cetaceans, birds and marine-life, and sent back his findings. His full recce report, which you can read here, details his journey through the wonderful island scenery, rich in coral reefs, birdlife, and, of course, wonderful cetaceans.

‘The diversity and abundance of marine-life was astonishing,’ says Chas. ‘We recorded an exceptional total of 62 cetacean sightings, of 15 different species. One real highlight was a beaked whale which we identified as Deraniyagala’s Beaked Whale, a species only recognised in 2014 and never recorded alive at sea before!’

We now have just two cabins still available on our Solomon Islands cruise which departs on 1st December 2018 (or 28th November if you wish to join the pre-tour extension to Lamington National Park, near Brisbane).
