Koshi Tappu is a special place. Staying at Naturetrek's own tented camp, we're unlikely to meet any other tourists as we explore on foot and by raft! Combined with Kathmandu, it's highly recommended!

Summary

Almost all of Nepal's list of wildfowl, waders, storks, ibises, egrets, terns and gulls occur in Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve and we can expect to see 120+ species each day. Mammals include Ganges River Dolphin, wild Water Buffalo, Jungle Cat, Spotted Deer and Nilgai. After four nights based at Naturetrek's own Koshi Camp we transfer to Kathmandu for some birding on Phulchowki or sightseeing.
