This extension combines wildlife viewing by boat on the calm Chambal River, with an exploration of Bharatpur, arguably Asia's finest bird watching reserve which has a remarkable variety of habitats.

Summary

The National Chambal Sanctuary is a refuge for rare and endangered species such the Ganges River Dolphin. We'll explore Chambal by boat before driving to Bharatpur, home to a great variety of vultures, raptors, small passerines and wetland birds. We'll be hoping to see about 100 bird species during our two full days there as well as freshwater turtles and mammals such as Fishing Cat and dolphins.
