Wildlife holidays in Africa

Few wildlife enthusiasts can resist Africa. Few of its visitors fail to fall under its spell. Its wide, sun-baked landscapes, huge skies, and simple, friendly people offer a warmth and calm that are the quintessential ingredients of the classic holiday. The bold and colourful birdlife of the African continent, and unrivalled abundance and variety of its wild animals, underline its status as the world's top wildlife destination.
Whilst we offer week-long tours to Tunisia and Morocco, most of our African holidays (with the exception of our short bargain breaks) are of two weeks' duration or more. The continent offers some of the very best hotels, wildlife lodges and permanent tented camps in the world, and we make the most of them. The wildlife options are boundless. In Uganda and Rwanda we search for Mountain Gorillas; in Botswana we savour the expansive and majestic waterways of the great Okavango Delta. Zambia's stock in trade is the ultimate thrill of the walking safari, whilst Ethiopia offers not just the most spectacular of the continent's landscapes but also a rich history. Mali and Egypt, too, both provide histories and cultures of depth and fascination, plus classic river journeys, on the Niger and Nile respectively. Namibia's spectacular deserts, Madagascar's lemurs and other endemic wildlife, the unrivalled birdlife of Kenya and mammals of Tanzania, not to mention the fabulous flora of South Africa's Cape and Namaqualand regions (and the wines of course!), the lakes and mountains and friendly people of Malawi, and the deserts, oases and spectacular wadis of the Middle East. These are just some aspects of the continent's rich tapestry which we hope to offer you on our holidays' and the reasons why you are most likely to return again and again!
