On guided game-drives you’ll look for an array of species including mammals such as Spotted Deer, Sambar Deer, Common Langur monkeys, Tiger, Leopard, Sloth Bear, Gaur (Asian Bison), Nilgai, Golden Jackal and Jungle Cat, plus a wonderful variety of birds.

There is also an optional post-tour extension to Agra in North India, which offers the chance to see one of the world’s most iconic monuments, the Taj Mahal. You will travel by train from Delhi to Agra on India’s fastest train, the Gatimaan Express, stay overnight in a modern hotel in Agra and enjoy a sightseeing tour of the city’s world-famous Mughal monuments. You will then drive back to Delhi in a chauffeur-driven vehicle, and spend a night in the city before catching your flight home.

Day 3       Fly Nagpur; travel to Kanha

Day 4/6   Kanha Tiger Reserve & National Park

Day 12    Train to Agra; half-day city sightseeing

Day 13     View Taj Mahal at sunrise; travel by road to Delhi

Cost: £2,995 per person (includes two free nights, a saving of £150 per person) between 1 October 2017 and 14 April 2018 except Christmas & New Year period.

Travel is recommended between the months of October and June. The cost of this holiday (based on two people sharing) includes all flights, accommodation, a local specialist naturalist/birding guide, meals on a full-board basis in Kanha and Bandhavgarh (B&B elsewhere) and all internal travel.
