Three exciting New India Tours for the Winter

We’re launching three exciting new tours to India this summer, for travel next winter. Here’s a sneak preview so you can plan ahead!

New Naturetrek tours to India for 2010/11:

Unknown India

Avoid the tourist-trail and enjoy the wildlife of India’s lesser known Tiger reserves, including Satpura and Tadoba. Both of these national parks are ‘Project Tiger’ reserves, but they are little known and attract very few tourists. Recent Naturetrek groups have enjoyed superb wildlife sightings in both, including witnessing an incredible hunt by two Tigresses of a Sambar last autumn in Tadoba, and Tiger cubs in Satpura. The tour also includes a short visit to the better known Pench National Park.

You can read about Satpura’s special wildlife in the June 2010 issue of BBC Wildlife magazine (page 85-88).

Tigers by Train

A unique holiday to visit Bandhavgarh by luxury train, sightseeing en route! This tour combines luxury train travel and sightseeing through rural India with four nights in Bandhavgarh National Park in search of Tigers and other wildlife. You may choose either to travel from Kolkata to Bandhavgarh, or from Bandhavgarh to Delhi by luxury train.

In the Footsteps of Corbett (India & Nepal)

This exciting new tour focuses on three very different, but classic Indian habitats in northern Indian – all of them in ‘Corbett country’ where the famous conservationist, famed for his control of man-eating Leopards and Tigers, spent so much of his time over a century ago. We’ll be focusing on the jungles of Corbett National Park, the Himalayan foothills and panoramas from Nainital, and the famous grasslands of Suklaphanta Wildlife Reserve – all of them offering a wealth of different wildlife.
