Tim Melling - Bird Brain of Britain 2005

An annual fixture on the Saturday afternoon at the Birdfair is the “Bird Brain of Britain” competition and we are thrilled to announce that this year’s contest was won by Tim Melling, one of our esteemed tour leaders.

Tim leads a number of birding and wildlife trips for Naturetrek including Mexico’s Monarchs and Norway's Orcas and Spitzbergen. When he is not travelling with Naturetrek, Tim works as a conservation officer for the RSPB.

Tim was representing Naturetrek against three other wildlife holiday companies. During the competition, quizmaster Bill Oddie fired questions on bird general knowledge to the 4 contestants. In addition, each of the contestants answered questions on their chosen specialist subjects; Tim’s subject was “British firsts since 1983”.

Congratulations Tim!
