Open Day - An Australia Special!
From ocean to outback, reef to rainforest ... Australia's isolation, following separation from Gondwanaland 55 million years ago, has endowed it with a unique array of landscapes and weird and wonderful wildlife.
We would like to invite you to join us at our Cheriton Mill offices for a day, and find out what this magnificent country has to offer!
When will it take place?
Friday 25th March 2011
Where will it be held?
Naturetrek’s offices, set in rural Hampshire. As well as visiting us at the Naturetrek offices, why not make a weekend of it – here are some suggestions of things to do in the surrounding area: enjoy the flora and butterflies of two nearby chalkland national nature reserves, Old Winchester Hill and Beacon Hill; take a trip on the nearby Watercress line steam railway; visit the historic cathedral city of Winchester; or take advantage of the fabulous local pubs along the Itchen Valley. We're happy to suggest local accommodation for you.
What will be happening?
Join us for an Australian BBQ and a chance to sample fabulous regional wines (all complimentary!). There will also be opportunities to view film shows, browse in our information library and take part in special offers and competitions!
Our Australia experts, Gwen Owen and Maryanne Mills (who grew up in Western Australia), will be on hand to offer advice and help you plan your holiday to Australasia.
Naturetrek tours to Australia
Our range of Australian tours cover the island's iconic wildlife habitats – Queensland's Rainforests & Great Barrier Reef ... the wetlands of the Northern Territory ... wild flowers and birdlife of south-western Australia ... the coastal and inland delights of south-eastern Australia ... plus the wilderness of one of Australia's hidden gems, Tasmania.
But is doesn't stop there. With our expert first-hand knowledge and wealth of experienced naturalists based all over this vast continent we will gladly tailor a tour to your requirements. Experience one of Australia's great train journeys, take a camping safari in The Kimberley or head out on the water to search for the Blue Whales, Whale Sharks and Dugongs that frequent Western Australia’s waters ... the opportunities are endless!
Whether you would like to book onto one of our group tours, discuss options for extensions or a tailormade holiday ... or simply just get a little inspiration and enjoy a delicious glass of Tasmanian wine, we would be delighted to see you!
Visit the website further information on all our tours to Ausltralia.

This day isn’t limited to Australian tours, however, and if you'd like to discuss holidays to different destinations other tour managers will also be available for you to talk to during the day. Similarly, if you have never visited us at our Cheriton Mill offices, then please pop in and say hello!
